Hola! Hello!

Juliana Castro is a bilingual freelance illustrator from Bogota, Colombia, currently based in Boca Raton, Florida. She creates story-driven digital and traditional illustrations for children’s books, toys and games, stationery, and kids/tweens editorials.

From Procreate and Photoshop to gouache and acrylic, her work mainly portrays animals, environments, and diverse characters. The purpose of her illustrations is to help raise awareness about endangered species, the beauty of nature, the environment, and Hispanic culture; all while bringing a smile to your face. She uses her art as a teaching method, to inspire younger audiences and to show them how the world we live in is an amazing place, rich in culture and diversity, and we should protect it and celebrate it.

Aside from art, Juliana enjoys volunteering at F.R.I.E.N.D.S Horse Rescue and Sanctuary, dancing, reading a good book, and spending time in nature.
